THANK YOU FROM THE BYKERS
We would like to thank each and every one of you who participated in and contributed to the softball clinic/fundraiser. Continually we are overwhelmed by the support and prayers of this community towards our family from people like you.
This special group of Softball Managers, Coaches, and Helpers are a value to our girls and the Georgetown community. This donation is another example of the way you have gone above and beyond and we are extremely grateful!

ONLINE COACH TRAINING
Great coaching is no accident. It starts with a love for the game. It grows from a strong desire to give children the tools they need to succeed on the field and in life. And it can happen in any league, with any team, anywhere in the world. That’s why Little League International created LittleLeagueCoach.org.
Expert advice from renowned players and coaches; video demonstrations; skills development drills and exercises: At LittleLeagueCoach.org, Little League managers and coaches can get all the tools they need to start their season right or build on what they already have in place. And it’s free.
Little League International considers providing these tools so important to our youth and so important to the success of your leagues that it has decided to offer them without any charge. Unlike some other youth sports organizations’ coaching programs, it won’t cost any Little League manager or coach a dime to access the exclusive content and resources at LittleLeagueCoach.org. NEW RULES FROM LITTLE LEAGUE FOR 2008
There are many changes from Little League this year. Some highlights of the rule changes are:
-
Players that are League Age 12 are to be drafted onto a Major team unless a parent request to play in the Senior Minors is granted by District 9. Note that GLL's divisions have been realigned and renamed to accomodate this change.
-
Minors have a 5 run limit per half inning.
-
Continuous batting order is required for T-ball and Minors.
-
Disengage-able bases are required on all fields.
-
Baseball's pitch count rules have been revised again with lower limits.
-
Baseball pitchers League Age 16 and under who deliver 41 or more pitches in a game must have a game of rest in addition to the number of days rest prescribed. This applies to 17 and 18 year olds who pitch 51 or more pitches in a game.
-
Baseball pitcher cannot switch to catcher in the same game. Catcher to pitcher is OK.
-
Baseball's "automatic" walk has been eliminated and these pitches count toward the pitcher's pitch count.
